Aerospace manufacturer Hical Technologies has been awarded a long-term contract by Dassault Aviation to manufacture specialised components for the control systems of the Rafale fighter aircraft. The agreement marks a significant step for the Bengaluru-based company as it strengthens its presence in the global aerospace and defence manufacturing sector.
Under the contract, Hical Technologies will produce mission-critical components designed for use in the Rafale aircraft’s control systems. The products will be manufactured in accordance with Dassault Aviation’s strict engineering, qualification, and reliability requirements, reflecting the precision standards required for advanced military aviation platforms.
The Rafale is widely regarded as one of the most sophisticated multi-role fighter aircraft currently in operation, serving air forces across several countries. Participation in its supply chain places Hical Technologies among a select group of international suppliers supporting one of the most active and technologically advanced combat aircraft programmes in the world.
Bruno Coiffier, Senior Executive Vice President for Procurement and Purchasing at DassaultAviation, noted that Hical Technologies has demonstrated a strong commitment to quality and reliability. He added that these values align closely with Dassault Aviation’s long-standing focus on engineering excellence and precision manufacturing.
Yashas Jaiveer, Managing Director of Hical Technologies, said the agreement reflects years of investment by the company in engineering capabilities, manufacturing processes, and quality systems. He described the partnership as an important recognition of the technical capabilities developed by the company and its workforce.
Mr Jaiveer further stated that contributing components to the Rafale programme represents an important moment for Indian aerospace manufacturing. He noted that working alongside Dassault Aviation on such a technologically advanced platform demonstrates the growing role of Indian manufacturers in global defence supply chains. The contract is also expected to contribute to the continued expansion of India’s aerospace manufacturing ecosystem, as domestic companies increasingly participate in global programmes through specialised component production and engineering support.
Founded in Bengaluru, Hical Technologies operates in the aerospace, defence, and industrial sectors, producing precision components and assemblies for demanding applications. The company has steadily expanded its capabilities in high-reliability manufacturing, supporting both domestic and international customers. By becoming part of the Rafaleprogramme’s supply network, Hical Technologies strengthens India’s participation in the international aerospace industry and reinforces the country’s position as a trusted manufacturing partner for advanced defence technologies.
