HD Construction Equipment has secured a significant contract to supply bulldozers to the Polish military, marking the company’s first large-scale defence procurement order from a European nation. The agreement represents a major milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy and strengthens its presence in Europe’s public sector and defence equipment market.
The contract, awarded by Poland’s 3rd Regional Logistics Base, covers the supply of 50 units of 15-ton DEVELON crawler bulldozers with an estimated value of approximately KRW 27 billion. The agreement also includes provisions for additional orders through optional procurement, creating the potential for further business in the future.
The achievement comes just two years after HD Construction Equipment introduced its bulldozer range in Europe, demonstrating the rapid acceptance of its products in one of the world’s most competitive equipment markets. The company secured the order after competing against established American and European manufacturers, highlighting the growing global recognition of Korean engineering and manufacturing capabilities.
The contract was awarded following a comprehensive evaluation of product performance, delivery capability and technical support. HD Construction Equipment successfully addressed the Polish military’s specialised operational requirements by modifying its standard production models. The customised machines feature changes to the chassis height, enhanced travelling speeds and military-grade exterior coatings, ensuring they meet demanding defence specifications.
Despite the requirement to complete deliveries within a tight production schedule by November, the company presented a robust manufacturing and logistics plan that demonstrated its ability to meet the customer’s timeline. This capability, combined with proven product reliability and engineering expertise, played a key role in securing the contract.
The order comes at a time when several European countries are increasing investments in defence infrastructure and modernising military equipment. The successful entry into Poland’s military procurement programme provides HD Construction Equipment with an opportunity to strengthen its reputation in government procurement, defence support and infrastructure development projects across the region.
Company officials said the contract validates the quality, durability and operational performance of its construction equipment while showcasing its ability to develop specialised solutions for demanding applications. The company intends to further strengthen its product portfolio to address diverse operational environments and specialised customer requirements worldwide.
The Polish military order follows another important business win in Europe, where HD Construction Equipment recently secured a KRW 20 billion agreement with Norway-based Rental Group, Northern Europe’s largest equipment rental company, to supply articulated dump trucks. The deal expands the company’s European presence beyond its established excavator business and supports its broader strategy of diversifying its product portfolio and customer base. With these latest contract wins, HD Construction Equipment continues to reinforce its position as a global construction equipment manufacturer while expanding into high-value public sector, defence and infrastructure markets across Europe.
