HCLSoftware, the software business division of HCLTech, has announced its intent to acquire Robotiq.ai, an enterprise robotic process automation (RPA) platform provider based in Zagreb, Croatia. The proposed acquisition is aimed at expanding HCLSoftware’s enterprise automation capabilities and strengthening the execution capabilities of HCL UnO Agentic.
Robotiq.ai’s RPA platform enables organisations to automate tasks across enterprise applications, including environments where application programming interfaces (APIs) are unavailable or do not provide the required functionality. Its technology is expected to extend HCL UnO Agentic’s capabilities from AI-driven decision-making and orchestration to the execution of business processes.
The acquisition comes as enterprises increase their focus on deploying AI systems that can perform operational tasks across complex business environments. By adding RPA capabilities, HCLSoftware aims to connect AI agents with enterprise applications and automate workflows that require interaction with existing systems.
Robotiq.ai’s platform is used by organisations in sectors including banking, insurance and telecommunications. The platform includes security controls, audit logging and flexible deployment options designed to support enterprise requirements. Kalyan Kumar, President, HCLSoftware, said enterprises are increasingly moving from AI experimentation to production-scale automation. “Enterprises are looking beyond AI experimentation toward production-scale automation that is secure, governed and reliable,” he said. “Robotiq.ai strengthens HCL UnO Agentic by combining orchestration with enterprise-grade execution, helping customers confidently deploy and scale agentic AI across their operations.”
The integration of Robotiq.ai’s RPA capabilities is expected to allow HCL UnO Agentic to automate activities across applications that cannot be accessed effectively through APIs. This can help extend automated workflows across existing enterprise technology environments without requiring organisations to replace those systems. The proposed acquisition is expected to close in November 2026, subject to customary closing conditions.
