Gestamp, a global leader in designing and manufacturing advanced metal components for the automotive sector, announced its financial results for the first nine months of 2025, showcasing improved profitability despite industry-wide challenges and unfavorable currency effects. The company achieved an EBITDA margin of 11% and reduced its net debt to €2,107 million, reaching a 1.6x net debt-to-EBITDA ratio — the lowest level since its IPO. Revenue for the period stood at €8,486 million, slightly impacted by exchange rate movements but supported by operational efficiencies and disciplined cost management.

Executive Chairman Francisco J Riberas stated, “The automotive industry is navigating through an environment of regulatory shifts and production volatility. Our strategy focuses on strengthening our financial structure, optimizing costs, and enhancing operational efficiency. These efforts ensure resilience and sustainable growth as the industry continues its transformation.”

Gestamp reinforced its capital position through a senior bond issuance due in 2030, extending debt maturity and improving financial flexibility. Additionally, it finalized a €246 million transaction with Andrómeda Principal Investments, a Santander Bank entity, acquiring a minority stake in four subsidiaries that own real estate assets in Spain.

In the NAFTA region, Gestamp continues to advance its three-year Phoenix Plan, aimed at aligning profitability with other global operations. Despite a 1% dip in light vehicle production volumes from January to September, the company achieved a 7.6% EBITDA margin (excluding the plan’s impact) and expects to reach 8% by year-end, with double-digit margins anticipated in 2026. As part of its updated 2025 outlook, Gestamp forecasts a modest improvement in overall profitability compared to 2024, stable free cash flow generation, and sustained deleveraging momentum — reinforcing its position as a financially robust and adaptive global automotive supplier.
