FLIR Systems, a Teledyne Technologies brand and a global provider of intelligent sensing solutions, has introduced a new range of test and measurement instruments under its Extech and FLIR portfolios. The latest additions include advanced moisture meters, a modular video borescope, and a non-contact voltage detector, aimed at enhancing inspection efficiency and safety across industries.

The newly launched Extech MO50A, MO55A, and MO57A moisture meters are designed to support building inspectors and restoration professionals in detecting moisture across materials such as wood, drywall, and concrete. Equipped with high-contrast backlit displays and easy-to-read visual and audible alerts, these devices enable quicker and more accurate assessments in varied working conditions.

The MO50A offers pin-type measurement for precision, while the MO55A combines pin and pinless capabilities for greater flexibility. The MO57A features a pinless design with a ball probe, allowing smooth scanning of sensitive or uneven surfaces.

Expanding inspection capabilities further, the Extech BR95 Video Borescope introduces a compact, handheld solution for accessing confined or hard-to-reach areas. It features a 5.5 mm waterproof camera probe and a 3.5-inch IPS display for clear image and video capture.

The system is designed to go beyond visual inspection through optional environmental sensors, enabling measurement of carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, temperature, and humidity. This modular design allows professionals to conduct HVAC checks, indoor air quality evaluations, and building diagnostics using a single device, reducing dependence on multiple tools.

For electrical applications, FLIR has launched the VP54 Non-Contact Voltage Detector, built to help technicians confirm the presence of voltage safely before commencing work. The device offers triple-alert feedback through visual, audible, and vibration signals, ensuring clear communication even in challenging environments. Additional features include integrated lighting for better visibility, differentiation between live and neutral wires, and compliance with stringent safety standards. Its rugged construction is suited for demanding field conditions.

According to Heliel Morales, Director of Business Development for Test and Measurement, the new product lineup addresses the growing need for tools that combine accuracy, adaptability, and ease of use. He noted that the innovations are designed to help professionals complete tasks more efficiently while improving diagnostic confidence and workplace safety.

With this launch, FLIR strengthens its commitment to delivering practical, high-performance solutions that meet the evolving requirements of professionals working in inspection, maintenance, and diagnostics across multiple sectors.
