Firan Technology Group Corporation (FTG), a global supplier of aerospace and defence electronics, has officially inaugurated its new FTG Aerospace facility in Hyderabad, marking a major milestone in the company’s global expansion strategy. The opening of the new facility completes nearly three years of planning and development. The Hyderabad unit will serve as a design and manufacturing centre for cockpit and avionics products used in commercial aerospace and defence applications.
The new facility is expected to strengthen FTG’s global manufacturing network while supporting the growing demand for advanced aerospace systems. It will also help the company expand its presence in India’s fast-growing aerospace and defence sector.
FTG said the decision to establish operations in India was driven by several strategic factors. The facility will support increasing demand from customers in Western markets for cockpit and avionics products while allowing the company to participate in India’s expanding aerospace and defence industry. It also aligns with the Government of India’s “Make in India” initiative, which encourages local manufacturing and technology development.
The Hyderabad facility will provide additional manufacturing capacity at competitive costs and complement the company’s existing operations in China. It is also expected to help FTG diversify its manufacturing footprint, reduce dependence on selected international markets and create new business opportunities across global aerospace and defence industries.
Brad Bourne, President and Chief Executive Officer of Firan Technology Group, said the opening of the Hyderabad facility is an important step in the company’s journey to becoming a truly global aerospace and defence electronics manufacturer. He said the company sees significant long-term opportunities in India and looks forward to serving both domestic and international customers from the new facility. He added that FTG will continue to recruit and train employees, obtain industry certifications, secure customer approvals and gradually increase production capacity in the coming months.
The Hyderabad operation is expected to play a key role in supplying advanced cockpit displays, avionics products and electronic assemblies for aircraft manufacturers and defence customers worldwide. Firan Technology Group serves customers across the global aerospace and defence sectors through its two business divisions.
FTG Circuits manufactures high-reliability printed circuit boards for aviation and defence applications, while FTG Aerospace designs, manufactures and supports illuminated cockpit systems, avionics equipment and electronic assemblies. The company operates manufacturing and engineering facilities in Canada, the United States, China and now India, giving it a strong international presence.
