Escorts Kubota Limited (EKL), one of India’s leading engineering and agri-machinery companies, has announced the launch of the Kubota NeoStar range, a new-generation compact and narrow tractor series designed specifically for India’s rapidly expanding horticulture and interculture farming segment. Positioned in the 21–27 HP category, the NeoStar lineup has been developed to enhance farm productivity, improve operator comfort, and support specialized applications across vineyards, orchards, sugarcane farms and vegetable cultivation clusters.

The new range will initially focus on key horticulture regions across Maharashtra, Karnataka, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh, where mechanization demand is rising sharply. The launch further strengthens EKL’s premium Kubota portfolio and builds on the trust of over 80,000 compact and narrow tractor customers across the country. The NeoStar range arrives at a time when the compact tractor segment between 21 HP and 30 HP has emerged as one of the fastest-growing categories in the Indian tractor industry, registering nearly 35 percent growth over the last three years. The growth has been largely driven by increasing mechanization in horticulture, orchard management and precision farming operations.

The Kubota NeoStar range is available in two configurations tailored for specific farm applications. The NeoStar Narrow variant features a true width of nearly 2.98 feet, making it suitable for sugarcane cultivation and narrow inter-row operations. The standard NeoStar compact tractor is designed for vineyards, orchards and multi-crop farms where maneuverability in confined spaces is critical.

Built with Kubota’s globally recognized engineering and durability standards, the tractors support a wide range of farm applications including interculture, spraying, haulage and rotavator operations. The tractors are equipped with features such as Eco PTO, power steering and advanced narrow-width engineering aimed at improving operational efficiency and reducing fatigue during long working hours.

The NeoStar range is targeted at progressive farmers cultivating crops such as grapes, pomegranate, banana, mango and sugarcane, along with vegetable growers, orchard operators and agri-service entrepreneurs offering spraying, loader and rotavator services. The tractors are especially suited for farmers with landholdings between one and five hectares seeking premium mechanization solutions.

Commenting on the launch, Nikhil Nanda, Chairman and Managing Director, Escorts Kubota Limited, said the company sees strong long-term opportunities in the horticulture mechanization space and aims to deepen Kubota’s presence in high-growth agricultural regions through application-driven products. Akira Kato, Deputy Managing Director, said the NeoStar series reflects Kubota’s global expertise in orchard and interculture operations and brings advanced Japanese engineering to Indian farmers through reliable, durable and productivity-focused solutions.
