Enviro Infra Engineers Limited has announced the successful award of five major projects in March 2026, with a combined value of ₹1,481 crore. The contracts mark a strong close to the financial year and significantly enhance the company’s order book, improving revenue visibility for the coming quarters.

A key milestone within these wins is the company’s entry into the Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) segment, representing a strategic expansion into the renewable energy ecosystem. The projects, awarded by NTPC Limited, highlight Enviro Infra’s growing capability to deliver large-scale and technically complex energy infrastructure.

The move into BESS aligns with the company’s long-term focus on sustainability and clean energy solutions. Energy storage is rapidly becoming a critical component of India’s power sector, enabling renewable integration, enhancing grid stability, and managing peak demand. With battery storage infrastructure still at a nascent stage in the country, the company’s early entry provides a competitive advantage as the market evolves.

India’s energy storage landscape presents a significant opportunity, with a substantial gap between current capacity and projected requirements. As renewable energy adoption accelerates and battery costs decline, BESS is emerging as a cornerstone of future-ready power infrastructure.

The newly secured projects also expand the company’s geographical presence into high-growth regions including Bihar, Assam, and Telangana, strengthening its footprint in both infrastructure and energy transition initiatives.

Commenting on the development, Sanjay Jain, Chairman of Enviro Infra Engineers, said the orders represent a pivotal step in diversifying into renewable energy. He emphasized that battery storage systems will play a vital role in ensuring reliable, round-the-clock power and supporting India’s transition toward cleaner energy sources.

Alongside its renewable energy push, the company continues to build on its established leadership in water and wastewater treatment solutions. The addition of BESS projects, with an order value exceeding ₹1,070 crore, reinforces its evolution into a diversified infrastructure player spanning water, sanitation, and sustainable energy.

With over 15 years of experience, Enviro Infra Engineers delivers end-to-end engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) solutions, supported by in-house design, engineering, and project management teams. The company also undertakes operations and maintenance for completed projects, ensuring long-term performance and reliability. This latest development positions Enviro Infra Engineers to play a key role in India’s infrastructure and clean energy transformation.
