Indian electric two-wheeler company e-SPRINTO has launched the G1, its first electric scooter for the business-to-consumer (B2C) market, with prices starting at ₹89,999 (ex-showroom Delhi). The scooter marks the company’s expansion from business and fleet customers to individual riders and households.
Developed over nearly two years of research and development and consumer studies, the G1 is designed for daily commuting and family use. It offers three battery options, multiple riding modes and features intended to meet the practical requirements of Indian road users.
The G1 is available in three variants. The 2.0 kW version is priced at ₹89,999, the 2.5 kW version at ₹94,999 and the 3.0 kW version at ₹99,999, all ex-showroom Delhi. Customer deliveries are scheduled to begin on January 1, 2027. The e-SPRINTO G1 offers claimed ranges of up to 80 km, 100 km and 130 km across its three battery options. It has three riding modes—Eco, City and Sport—with maximum speeds of up to 30 km/h, 40 km/h and 50 km/h, respectively.
The scooter has a carrying capacity of 150 kg, 12-inch tubeless tyres and 165 mm of ground clearance. Its battery carries an IP67 rating for protection against dust and water ingress under specified test conditions. Other features include a Combi Braking System and a digital display. Navigation is available through an optional subscription, allowing customers to activate the feature according to their needs. The G1 will be offered in four colours: Charcoal Black, Slate Grey, Horizon Blue and Pine Green.
The launch builds on e-SPRINTO’s experience in the business-to-business electric two-wheeler market. According to the company, more than 70,000 of its vehicles are currently on Indian roads. It operates three manufacturing facilities with an annual production capacity of 1.5 lakh units. As it enters the consumer segment, the company plans to focus on expanding its dealership network and strengthening after-sales service, spare-parts availability and product quality.
Shalu Gupta, Co-Founder of e-SPRINTO, said the company had spent the past two years studying the requirements of Indian families and incorporating those findings into the G1. “Our experience in the B2B segment has helped us understand that the relationship with a customer extends well beyond the product itself. Reliability, availability, service and spare-parts support are equally important. Over the past two years, we have focused on understanding the needs of Indian families and translating those insights into the G1. Our goal is to make electric mobility more accessible while building long-term trust with our customers,” Ms Gupta said.
Atul Gupta, Co-Founder of e-SPRINTO, said the company had focused on practical requirements such as battery choices, riding modes, carrying capacity and features for everyday use. He added that the company would support the product with a sales, service and spare-parts network as it builds its presence in the B2C market.
