Zebra Technologies Opens Service Centres in Mumbai and Gurgaon to Expand India Support Network

Zebra Technologies Corporation (NASDAQ: ZBRA) has opened two new service centres in Mumbai and Gurgaon to expand its repair and technical support network in India. The facilities will complement the company’s existing centralised repair hub in Bengaluru and are intended to improve service access for customers in western and northern India.

The expansion comes as businesses in manufacturing, retail, transportation and logistics, healthcare and other sectors increasingly adopt digital technologies and automation. The new centres are expected to bring repair services closer to customer operations and help reduce equipment downtime and repair turnaround times.

The facilities are operated by Zebra’s authorised service partner, Communications Test Design Inc. (CTDI). Both centres are staffed by technicians trained to repair Zebra products and will focus exclusively on printers and mobile computers.

Zebra’s Bengaluru service hub will continue to provide repair services across the company’s full product portfolio. These include printers, scanners, tablets, mobile computers, radio-frequency identification (RFID) products, fixed industrial scanning systems and machine vision solutions.

Subramaniam Thiruppathi, Country Lead for India and the Subcontinent at Zebra Technologies, said India remained an important growth market for the company as businesses continued to digitise and automate their operations. He said expanding local service capabilities alongside the Bengaluru hub would help Zebra support customers throughout the technology lifecycle.

Under the revised service arrangement, customers can continue to send all eligible device categories to the Bengaluru facility. Printers and mobile computers covered by the new service centres can also be routed to Mumbai or Gurgaon, depending on service requirements.

Customers can initiate repair requests through Zebra’s Repair Order Portal using their existing Zebra single sign-on credentials. The process allows businesses to raise repair orders through the company’s established service channel.

The three-location network is designed to provide a broader regional service presence while retaining Bengaluru as the central facility for products requiring specialised repair capabilities. The Mumbai and Gurgaon centres will handle selected product categories, allowing the central hub to continue supporting the company’s wider range of equipment.

Zebra provides connected frontline, asset visibility and automation solutions to organisations across retail, manufacturing, transportation, logistics, healthcare and other industries. Its portfolio supports businesses seeking to improve operational visibility, workforce productivity and automated decision-making.

The new service centres form part of the company’s effort to strengthen after-sales support in India as its customer base grows. By expanding repair capacity across key business regions, Zebra aims to help customers maintain equipment availability and manage technology investments more effectively.
