DCX Systems Limited has expanded its electronic manufacturing capabilities with the addition of oversized printed circuit board (PCB) assembly capacity at its wholly owned subsidiary, Raneal Advanced Systems Pvt Ltd. The development is intended to address the growing demand for large-format PCBs used in high-reliability applications across defence, aerospace, industrial electronics, and advanced power systems.
The new capability allows the company to assemble and test PCBs measuring up to 55 inches in length, enabling support for complex and high-density electronic systems that require larger backplane and mission-critical board configurations.
Oversized PCBs are commonly used in advanced electronics systems where multiple modules must be integrated into a single platform to ensure performance, reliability, and system-level efficiency. With the enhanced facility, Raneal will be able to undertake both surface mount technology (SMT) and through-hole assembly processes for these large-format boards.
To support the new capability, the company has strengthened its material handling infrastructure and board support systems to manage large assemblies during production. Process control systems have also been upgraded to maintain precision during assembly, while testing and validation infrastructure has been expanded to ensure compliance with stringent industry requirements.
The addition of this capability is expected to improve workflow efficiency within the existing manufacturing setup while maintaining the quality and reliability standards required for mission-critical electronic systems. The expansion has been implemented without disrupting ongoing production activities at the facility.
Commenting on the development, Dr HS Raghavendra Rao, Chairman and Managing Director of DCX Systems Limited, said the investment reflects the company’s continued focus on strengthening manufacturing capabilities for complex electronic systems. He added that the new facility will help the company address evolving requirements in high-performance electronics used in defence and aerospace programmes. Dr Rao also noted that the company has already secured orders worth approximately ₹20 crore related to oversized PCB assembly.
Founded in 2011, DCX Systems Limited manufactures electronic systems, cable and wire harness assemblies, and printed circuit board assemblies for domestic and international customers in the defence and aerospace sectors. The company operates from the Hi-Tech Defence and Aerospace Park SEZ in Bengaluru.
Through its subsidiary Raneal Advanced Systems, DCX runs a dedicated electronics manufacturing services facility that provides vertically integrated manufacturing for both internal programmes and external clients. The company works with several global original equipment manufacturers and participates in defence offset programmes, contributing to India’s domestic defence manufacturing ecosystem.
