Crown Worldwide Group has strengthened its India operations with the launch of a new integrated storage and information management facility in Coimbatore, underlining the company’s long-term commitment to one of its fastest-growing global markets. Spread across a 4.5-acre site, the new facility has been developed to support the increasing demand for secure storage, information management, digitalisation, and workplace asset solutions across India.
The site offers an initial Phase 1 storage capacity of more than 468,000 Standard Carton Equivalents (SCE), with future expansion potential to 720,000 SCE under Phase 2 through an additional 45,000 square feet of infrastructure. The facility will support multiple business verticals of Crown Worldwide Group, including Crown Records Management, Crown Relocations, and Crown Workspace. It will also house the company’s Renew Centre, which focuses on refurbishment, reuse, and lifecycle management of workplace assets.
The inauguration ceremony was attended by Jennifer Harvey, Group CEO, Crown Worldwide Group; Tze Shen Kong, CEO – Asia; and Srinivas Krishnan, Regional Managing Director – South Asia, along with senior company executives and stakeholders.
Jennifer Harvey said the company continues to witness rising demand for integrated infrastructure and information management services across Asia, particularly in India. She noted that India has emerged as one of Crown’s most important growth markets globally, driven by expanding business operations, increasing data management requirements, and the need for scalable enterprise solutions.
The facility has been designed to support large-scale operations with integrated digital infrastructure and automated systems. A centralised Building Management System enables real-time monitoring of critical operations including fire safety, power systems, and climate control functions, while also allowing integration with Crown’s wider global operational network.
The company stated that the site has been built with future scalability in mind. Planned Phase 2 expansion will increase total capacity significantly without disrupting ongoing operations, allowing the facility to support rising demand from businesses in South India and across key industrial sectors.
Tze Shen Kong, CEO – Asia, said India continues to stand out as a strategic investment destination for the company due to sustained economic growth and rising demand for professional information and asset management services. He added that the new facility significantly enhances Crown’s ability to support both domestic and multinational clients operating in and out of India.
The Coimbatore hub also incorporates extensive safety and resilience measures. Fire protection systems compliant with Indian Standards are supported by a 530,000-litre water reserve, complete hydrant coverage, and in-warehouse sprinkler systems. Security infrastructure includes 24/7 surveillance, access-controlled entry systems, and intrusion monitoring technology.
Sustainability features integrated into the project include insulated building construction designed to reduce internal temperatures by 3–4 degrees Celsius, high-reflectance roofing systems, and green landscaping covering nearly 15 percent of the total site area.
Srinivas Krishnan, Regional Managing Director – South Asia, said the investment reflects the growing importance of India within Crown Worldwide Group’s regional growth strategy. According to him, the new facility strengthens the company’s network while preparing it for increasing operational scale and evolving client requirements across South India. With India now among Crown Worldwide Group’s top five global markets, the company said it remains focused on expanding its infrastructure footprint and strengthening integrated service capabilities across the country.
