Coromandel International Limited has been awarded the prestigious Responsible Care Certification by the Indian Chemical Council (ICC), reinforcing the company’s commitment to safety, environmental stewardship and responsible manufacturing practices. The certification is valid from April 2026 to March 2029 and covers all 18 of the company’s manufacturing facilities across its Nutrients, Crop Protection Chemicals, Specialty Nutrients and Bio Products businesses.
Responsible Care is a globally recognised initiative of the chemical industry that promotes high standards in health, safety, environmental protection, product stewardship and security throughout the value chain. Managed internationally by the International Council of Chemical Associations (ICCA) and implemented in more than 70 countries, the programme encourages companies to adopt responsible manufacturing practices while meeting evolving industry and stakeholder expectations.
Coromandel earned the certification after successfully completing a comprehensive assessment and verification process conducted by the Indian Chemical Council. As part of the certification journey, the company implemented a structured improvement programme across its manufacturing operations, business functions and supplier network, with a focus on process safety, employee wellbeing, environmental performance, product responsibility, logistics safety and community engagement.
