Certarus, a leading mobile gas solutions provider and wholly owned subsidiary of Superior Plus Corp, has launched Certarus Mobile CNG Fleet Fueling™, a fully managed service that delivers compressed natural gas (CNG) and renewable natural gas (RNG) directly to fleet locations. The company has also commissioned a new CNG supply hub in Houston, Texas, which is expected to begin gas flow in the third quarter of 2026. The hub has secured its first major customer through a two-year agreement to provide turnkey fueling services for about 100 Class 8 natural gas trucks operated by a leading global logistics company.
The new service is designed to help heavy-duty fleets overcome one of the key barriers to natural gas vehicle adoption: access to convenient fueling infrastructure. Certarus will manage the complete fueling process, including gas supply, compression, transportation, storage and dispensing.
Unlike conventional fueling stations, the mobile service allows fleet operators to fuel vehicles at their own facilities without pipeline connections, permanent station construction or significant upfront infrastructure investment. The solution can be deployed quickly and expanded as fleet requirements increase.
“Houston is a strategic market for Certarus and our new hub allows us to better serve existing customers while expanding growth opportunities,” said Dale Winger, President of Certarus. “Our team is excited about today’s announcements, reflecting the breadth of applications where Certarus’ safe and reliable mobile gas solutions can help customers access energy faster, maximize uptime, and reduce operating costs.” Certarus Vice President, Growth & Strategy Dan Messina said the new service would provide fleet operators with greater flexibility while supporting the adoption of natural gas-powered trucks.
Mobile CNG Fleet Fueling is aimed at fleets operating around 10 or more natural gas vehicles, as well as customers planning vehicle conversions at a similar scale. The service can help operators reduce diesel consumption and fuel costs, minimize driver downtime, improve route efficiency and increase fueling capacity without major infrastructure spending.
The Houston hub will also serve industrial, utility, data center, energy infrastructure and transportation customers across the Gulf Coast. The contracted fleet fueling agreement provides a stable base volume for the new facility while creating opportunities to add customers in the region.
Certarus will use its existing North American platform, which includes a large CNG transport trailer fleet, portable compression equipment, integrated gas supply and mobile storage systems. The company is also converting its own tractor fleet to natural gas, giving it direct operating experience with the vehicles and engine technologies used by customers.
Certarus is the CNG division of Superior Plus Corp and provides CNG, RNG and hydrogen delivery solutions across North America. Its customers include industrial, utility, oil and gas, mining, data center, energy infrastructure and transportation companies.
