Calcom Vision Limited (BSE: 517236), an electronics manufacturing services (EMS) and original design manufacturing (ODM) company, has announced its entry into the solar-powered outdoor street lighting segment, marking a strategic expansion into infrastructure-driven and project-based business categories. The company has set a revenue target of ₹100 crore from this segment by FY30.
This development aligns with Calcom Vision’s broader plan to diversify its portfolio and strengthen its presence in energy-efficient and solar lighting solutions. The company’s new product range includes All-in-One (AIO) solar street lights, semi-integrated systems, and remote monitoring system (RMS)-enabled lighting solutions. The portfolio also extends to flood lights, high bay lights and other outdoor lighting products designed for industrial, commercial and public infrastructure applications. Initial customer interest has already been recorded across segments.
Calcom Vision expects the solar outdoor lighting business to contribute up to 20% of its total revenue over the next five years. The expansion comes at a time when solar-based lighting systems are increasingly being deployed across highways, smart city initiatives, urban infrastructure projects and rural electrification programs, driven by the need for energy efficiency and reduced dependence on conventional power sources.
Commenting on the development, Abhishek Malik, Executive Director of Calcom Vision Limited, stated that the company is positioning itself as a design-focused manufacturing partner for next-generation lighting solutions. He noted that the move reflects a shift toward offering integrated design and manufacturing capabilities to leading lighting brands in industrial and outdoor segments.
To support this expansion, Calcom Vision is doubling the size of its manufacturing facility in Greater Noida from 15,000 square meters to 30,000 square meters. The upgraded facility will enable annual production of approximately 10,000 to 15,000 solar street lighting units, with flexibility to scale output based on project demand. The plant is equipped with 11 surface-mount technology (SMT) lines, 10 assembly lines, as well as in-house plastic extrusion and powder coating capabilities.
The enhanced infrastructure will support both new solar lighting products and the company’s existing range of indoor, smart and emergency lighting solutions. Calcom Vision is also developing a broader product portfolio with multiple configurations across wattage levels, mounting formats and battery capacities to cater to large-scale deployments and tenders.
In addition, the company is building a new vertical focused on battery pack manufacturing, targeting applications in solar lighting as well as the expanding electric two- and three-wheeler segments. Calcom Vision recently entered into a manufacturing partnership with Goldmedal Electricals for LED lighting products, which is expected to contribute ₹20–25 crore in annual revenue at steady-state capacity.
Founded in 1976 with a strong focus on research and development, Calcom operates as a fully integrated lighting manufacturer from its state-of-the-art 30,000 square meter facility in Greater Noida, Delhi NCR. The company serves several leading domestic and multinational brands and continues to position itself as a dependable, long-term manufacturing partner in the energy-efficient electronics and consumer durables space.
