BPL Medical Technologies Launches BPL Vent 300 to Enhance Critical Care Respiratory Support

manufacturing-news

BPL Medical Technologies has expanded its critical care portfolio with the introduction of the BPL Vent 300, an advanced intensive care ventilator developed to support healthcare professionals managing complex respiratory conditions across a wide range of patient categories. The new system has been designed to meet the evolving requirements of hospitals seeking dependable respiratory care solutions while strengthening intensive care preparedness.

The BPL Vent 300 has been developed for deployment across Intensive Care Units (ICUs), High Dependency Units (HDUs), emergency departments, recovery centres, and step-down care facilities. Designed to support adult, pediatric, and infant patients, the ventilator combines advanced respiratory therapy capabilities with a compact design intended to simplify clinical operation in demanding healthcare environments.

At the heart of the system is a high-performance turbine capable of delivering peak airflow of up to 240 litres per minute, enabling effective operation without reliance on a central gas supply. This flexibility can be particularly valuable in healthcare facilities where infrastructure requirements vary across departments and care settings.

The ventilator supports multiple respiratory therapy modes, including invasive ventilation, non-invasive ventilation, and High Flow Nasal Cannula (HFNC) therapy. A 12.1-inch full-touch display provides clinicians with clear access to patient data and ventilator settings, while the lightweight design facilitates mobility within clinical environments.

To assist clinicians in monitoring respiratory function and evaluating patient readiness for recovery, the BPL Vent 300 incorporates a range of assessment and monitoring capabilities. These include lung protection parameters, weaning assessment tools, dynamic lung monitoring, lung recruitment support, and advanced tracing functions. Additional features such as integrated nebulization and automatic leakage compensation during non-invasive ventilation contribute to improved therapy management.

Recognizing the increasing importance of connected healthcare systems, the ventilator has been equipped with multiple connectivity options, including WiFi, 4G communication, wired networking, HL7 compatibility, USB data transfer, HDMI connectivity, RS232 interfaces, and nurse call integration. These capabilities support seamless integration into modern hospital infrastructure and clinical information systems.

To ensure continuity of care during power disruptions, the unit includes an integrated lithium battery capable of providing up to two hours of backup operation. A 360-degree visual alarm system has also been incorporated to improve alarm visibility and support rapid clinical response in busy critical care environments.

BPL designs and manufactures a wide portfolio of Made-in-India medical devices, including patient monitors, ventilators, ultrasound and X-ray systems, digital health solutions, and consumer health products. With 14 regional offices and a workforce of more than 500 professionals, BPL serves healthcare providers across both urban and rural India.
