Boeing has been awarded a set of multiyear contracts totaling roughly $2.7 billion to manufacture more than 3,000 seekers for the Patriot Advanced Capability-3 (PAC-3) missile system. Production is expected to scale up to 750 units annually, with deliveries running through 2030. The seekers are a critical component of the PAC-3 interceptor, enabling it to detect, track, and engage a range of airborne threats — from ballistic and cruise missiles to hypersonic weapons and hostile aircraft.

This latest contract is part of an ongoing collaboration with Lockheed Martin, the PAC-3 prime contractor, and the U.S. Army. The partners are working together to expand output capacity in response to increasing global demand, driven by evolving security needs in regions such as Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and the Indo-Pacific.

“We are ready to meet the nation’s growing needs for air and missile defense,” said Jim Bryan, Executive Director of Boeing’s Integrated Air & Missile Defense division. “These agreements reflect the confidence in our team’s ability to scale and deliver.”

Boeing has been producing PAC-3 seekers for over two decades at its facility in Huntsville, Alabama. In 2025, the company hit new production benchmarks, with a goal of delivering between 650 and 700 units by the end of the year. This achievement follows investments in advanced manufacturing, upgrades to production lines, expansion of supplier partnerships, and the completion of a new 35,000-square-foot facility.

Since the program’s inception, Boeing has supplied more than 6,000 PAC-3 seekers to the U.S. Army. The system is now in service with 17 allied nations, forming a key part of their integrated air and missile defense strategies.
