BEML Limited has secured a significant export order valued at USD 36.38 million from the Middle East region, marking a major step forward in its global expansion strategy. The order involves the supply of advanced heavy earthmoving equipment, further reinforcing the company’s growing position as a trusted global engineering and infrastructure solutions provider.

Traditionally used in large-scale mining operations, the equipment under this order has been specifically re-engineered to support infrastructure development and high-intensity reconstruction projects. These platforms are designed to meet demanding operational requirements, incorporating enhanced performance capabilities and durability features aligned with international standards.

A key highlight of the equipment is the integration of ergonomically designed cabins certified under ROPS (Roll-Over Protective Structure) and FOPS (Falling Object Protective Structure) standards. These features are aimed at significantly improving operator safety, particularly in challenging and high-risk working environments often encountered in infrastructure and construction projects.

The scope of the project is also expected to include a comprehensive maintenance and lifecycle support agreement. Under this arrangement, BEML will work closely with its regional partner to ensure seamless operations through end-to-end services, including the supply of spare parts, maintenance, servicing, and overall lifecycle management. This approach is expected to ensure high equipment availability and operational readiness over the long term.

Commenting on the development, Shantanu Roy, Chairman and Managing Director of BEML Limited, stated that the order represents a strong endorsement of the company’s engineering capabilities and global competitiveness. He noted that demand from the Middle East reflects increasing confidence in BEML’s ability to deliver reliable, technology-driven solutions tailored to evolving infrastructure needs.

The contract marks a strategic entry for BEML into a technologically advanced and rapidly growing infrastructure ecosystem in the Middle East. It also positions the company to deliver sustainable, long-term solutions—an increasingly critical requirement in global infrastructure procurement.

This development underscores BEML’s ability to execute complex international projects through effective local partnerships, while contributing to India’s broader vision of enhancing exports and strengthening indigenous manufacturing capabilities. The company aims to build on this momentum by expanding its presence in Middle Eastern markets, forging long-term collaborations with system integrators, and delivering integrated equipment and support solutions.

The order follows another key milestone for BEML—its first overseas contract for metro rolling stock in the African region, valued at approximately USD 60 million. With this latest win, the company’s total international order book has reached around USD 106.95 million, reflecting its expanding global footprint across sectors.

Operating under the Ministry of Defence India, BEML plays a vital role in supporting core sectors such as defence, rail, mining, and construction. With manufacturing facilities across Bengaluru, Kolar Gold Fields, Mysore, and Palakkad, and a legacy spanning over six decades, the company continues to drive innovation and excellence in engineering, positioning itself as a key player in global infrastructure development.
