Bartronics India Limited (BIL), a technology-focused company with a strong footprint in agritech and rural financial inclusion, has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with Origo Commodities India Private Limited, a leading player in post-harvest agricultural supply chains and warehousing solutions. The agreement sets the foundation for a strategic partnership aimed at expanding agriculture-linked business activities spanning storage infrastructure, trade facilitation, financing enablement, and technology-driven services. The collaboration brings together the complementary strengths of both organisations to build integrated offerings across the agricultural value chain.

As part of its agritech expansion roadmap, Bartronics has launched Project Avio, a comprehensive agri-commerce and services platform anchored in the company’s rural presence across more than 5,000 villages. The initiative is designed to support farmers across both input and output markets by enabling access to farm inputs, market connectivity, post-harvest solutions, and structured trade mechanisms. Project Avio is targeting the creation of agri-linked business worth USD 1 billion over the next three years through scale, digital enablement, and ecosystem partnerships.

Commenting on the partnership, Vidhya Sagar Reddy, Managing Director, Bartronics India Limited, said, “Agriculture plays a vital role in India’s economy, and Project Avio is focused on building scalable, technology-driven solutions that enhance market access and income opportunities for farmers. Our collaboration with Origo combines extensive rural reach with strong post-harvest and supply-chain expertise to help create a more integrated agri ecosystem.”

Under Project Avio, Origo is expected to play a key role by contributing its capabilities in agri-technology, warehousing, commodity financing, digital auction platforms, and allied services. Origo’s established infrastructure and operational experience are set to strengthen the delivery of end-to-end solutions across storage, trade, and financing.

Through this collaboration, the two companies will align Origo’s post-harvest and supply-chain capabilities with Bartronics’ technology platforms, rural distribution network, and banking relationships. The partnership aims to improve asset utilisation, enhance operating efficiencies, and expand access to organised markets and services for farmers, traders, and agri enterprises.

The MoU reflects the shared intent of both organisations to pursue structured collaboration, set up joint working groups, and execute identified opportunities in a phased manner. Further announcements on specific initiatives will be made as the partnership progresses.
