Bajel Projects Limited, a Bajaj Group company focused on power infrastructure, has secured a transmission line package valued at more than ₹600 crore under the Western Region–Eastern Region Inter-Regional Network Expansion Scheme – Part A. The order covers the construction of 765kV double-circuit transmission lines connecting Raigarh (Tamnar), Raigarh (Kotra) and Dharamjaygarh in Chhattisgarh. The project will strengthen power transmission capacity between India’s Western and Eastern regions and support the growing requirements of the national electricity grid.

The latest contract adds to Bajel Projects’ order book in high-voltage transmission infrastructure and strengthens its position in large-scale grid development projects. The company is executing projects for utilities, government agencies and private infrastructure players across India and international markets.

The transmission package forms part of a broader effort to expand and reinforce the country’s inter-regional power transmission network. High-voltage transmission infrastructure is expected to play an important role as electricity demand rises and renewable power capacity expands across different regions.

Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and CEO, Bajel Projects Limited, said the new order reflects continued customer confidence in the company’s execution capabilities. He added that the project would strengthen Bajel’s presence in 765kV transmission infrastructure and contribute to improved inter-regional power connectivity.

The company has built capabilities across the power transmission and new energy sectors, with expertise covering engineering, procurement and construction activities. Its project management capabilities include the execution of complex transmission infrastructure requiring high-voltage systems and extensive field operations.

Bajel Projects was earlier part of Bajaj Electricals Limited’s EPC business before becoming an independent company. It continues to operate under the Bajaj Group and draws on more than two decades of experience in power infrastructure. The company’s portfolio covers power transmission and related infrastructure, with a focus on supporting utilities and infrastructure developers in meeting India’s growing electricity requirements.

The new project is expected to add further momentum to Bajel Projects’ transmission business as the company continues to pursue opportunities in high-voltage grid infrastructure. India’s expanding generation capacity, renewable energy development and increasing electricity consumption are creating demand for stronger transmission networks connecting power-producing regions with major consumption centres.

Bajel Projects is an EPC company operating in power infrastructure, with capabilities across Power Transmission and New Energies. The company has a presence in domestic and international markets and works with state and national utilities, private infrastructure companies and other power-sector customers.

Backed by the Bajaj Group, Bajel is recognized for its disciplined project management approach and consistent focus on operational efficiency. With a growing portfolio of domestic and international projects, Bajel Projects continues to position itself as a preferred partner for utilities, government bodies, and private sector clients seeking dependable power infrastructure solutions.
