Bajel Projects Limited, a leading power transmission engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) company of the Bajaj Group, has reported a strong improvement in profitability for the first quarter ended June 30, 2026, supported by disciplined project execution, efficient cost management and a record order book. The company’s standalone profit before tax (PBT) increased 54.7 percent year-on-year to ₹6.9 crore, while profit after tax (PAT) rose 37.2 percent to ₹4.5 crore. Basic earnings per share improved to ₹0.39 from ₹0.29 in the corresponding quarter last year.

Standalone revenue from operations stood at ₹566.9 crore, compared with ₹607.6 crore in the same quarter of FY26. The company said the decline in revenue reflected the timing of project execution rather than a slowdown in business activity. EBITDA stood at ₹23.6 crore, with the EBITDA margin improving slightly to 4.17 percent.

On a consolidated basis, Bajel Projects reported profit before tax of ₹7.1 crore, up 72.8 percent year-on-year, while profit after tax increased 60.1 percent to ₹4.7 crore. Basic earnings per share rose to ₹0.41, compared with ₹0.26 a year earlier. The consolidated PAT margin improved to 0.84 percent, reflecting stronger working capital management and better operational efficiency.

A key highlight of the quarter was the company’s unexecuted order book, which reached ₹4,055 crore, the highest level since Bajel Projects was demerged from Bajaj Electricals in 2023. The strong order pipeline includes projects from the company’s expanding presence in the data centre sector as well as new opportunities in the Middle East and North Africa (MENA) region, providing healthy revenue visibility for the coming years. During the quarter, Bajel Projects also acquired an equity stake in Anant Grid Projects One Private Limited, which has been classified as an associate company under a collaboration agreement.

Commenting on the results, Rajesh Ganesh, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Bajel Projects, said the company’s performance reflects the strength of its execution capabilities and operational discipline. He noted that although revenue was influenced by project execution schedules, the company delivered strong growth in profitability through improved cost control and efficient project management. He added that the record order book provides a solid foundation for sustainable growth and expressed confidence in the company’s ability to convert these orders into profitable business during FY27.

Bajel Projects Limited operates across the power transmission and distribution value chain, offering end-to-end infrastructure solutions. The company originated from the EPC division of Bajaj Electricals Limited and continues to uphold the legacy and operational principles developed over more than two decades.

Backed by the Bajaj Group, Bajel is recognized for its disciplined project management approach and consistent focus on operational efficiency. With a growing portfolio of domestic and international projects, Bajel Projects continues to position itself as a preferred partner for utilities, government bodies, and private sector clients seeking dependable power infrastructure solutions.
