AVPL International and UP Government to Roll Out Drone Planet Suvidha Kendras

Manufacturing-News

AVPL International has collaborated with the Government of Uttar Pradesh to establish Drone Planet Suvidha Kendras at the village level under the CM Yuva Udhami Yojana, expanding the company’s nationwide mission of “creating a drone entrepreneur in every village of India.” Through this programme, eligible candidates will receive specialised training, a drone unit and a structured business plan—enabling rural youth and women to launch sustainable ventures offering services such as agricultural spraying, digital farm advisory and agri-retail.

The Uttar Pradesh rollout significantly strengthens AVPL International’s rural outreach. The company already operates in 16 states with 70 Centres of Excellence, and with UP joining the list, thousands more rural entrepreneurs are expected to benefit from drone technology, precision agriculture solutions and access to new income streams. Field-level preparations for the new centres will soon commence.

AVPL International continues to build capabilities by engaging with global innovation hubs. Co-founder and Chairman Deep Sihag Sesai is currently in Israel, exploring advanced drone systems, precision farming and automation technologies. Recently, Dr. Preet represented AVPL at the Dubai Airshow and travelled to Romania for industry discussions with leading manufacturers and drone experts. These international engagements are aimed at strengthening India’s after-sales infrastructure, spare-part supply chain, maintenance network and specialised services. The insights gained will support the development of a strong and future-ready domestic drone ecosystem.

With operations now underway in Uttar Pradesh, AVPL International is establishing itself as a strong force in rural transformation through drone-powered agricultural services. The flagship Drone Planet Suvidha Kendra model is built to scale across multiple states, making advanced agri-technology accessible to farming communities and raising productivity through modern, data-driven solutions.

The centres will facilitate precision spraying and other drone-based farm services, while also creating skill-building pathways by offering certified training programs for rural youth and women. In addition, they will support farmers with digital agronomy tools, advisory services, last-mile agri-retail access, and essential farm inputs.

Together, these initiatives are expected to unlock new entrepreneurial and income-generation opportunities across villages. These centres aim to help farmers adopt modern agricultural techniques, enhance yield, reduce input consumption and promote safer and more sustainable farming practices.

“Our goal is clear — every village should have at least one drone entrepreneur capable of transforming agriculture through technology. The partnership with the Uttar Pradesh Government brings us one step closer by opening meaningful opportunities for rural youth and women,” said Dr Preet Sandhu, Co-founder and Managing Director, AVPL International.

With increasing state partnerships, international collaborations and ongoing innovation in indigenous technology, AVPL International is positioning India to become a worldwide leader in agriculture powered by drones. The company believes that the future of farming will be shaped by precision automation supported by local entrepreneurship. With every new territory added, AVPL strengthens its vision of a robust rural drone economy that benefits farmers, young professionals and village-level service providers.

AVPL International, headquartered in Gurugram, is a pioneer in skill development, future-skills education and drone technology. Established in 2016, the organisation has trained more than 1,00,000 youth across India under major government initiatives.

AVPL operates DGCA-certified drone training academies, develops skill and incubation centres with universities and vocational institutes, and supports employment and entrepreneurship opportunities across emerging industries. Beyond training, the company designs and manufactures DGCA-certified agricultural drones and promotes large-scale adoption through drone-as-a-service models. By working closely with government agencies, academia and industry, AVPL is contributing to India’s Make in India and Aatmanirbhar Bharat missions while preparing the workforce for an advanced technology-driven future.
