Kalyani Steels Limited, a manufacturer of engineering-grade special steels and part of the Kalyani Group, has appointed Amit Kalyani as Chairman of the Board, effective from the close of business on October 28, 2026. He has led the Group’s expansion into aerospace, defence, electric mobility and advanced materials. Over the years, he has worked closely with RK Goyal, Managing Director of Kalyani Steels, on the company’s growth strategy. As Chairman, Amit Kalyani will focus on expanding the company’s presence in green steel, advanced materials and global markets, while strengthening its operations and position in strategic sectors.

“Kalyani Steels was built to meet the most exacting standards from day one, and that culture of precision is our greatest strength,” said Amit Kalyani, Chairman (Designate), Kalyani Steels Limited. He said the company would accelerate its work in green steel, advanced materials and digitalised operations as India’s manufacturing sector seeks materials that meet higher standards of quality and sustainability. He added that Kalyani Steels would look to expand its presence in strategic industries and international markets.

Dr Babasaheb Kalyani said leadership transitions were important for institutions to adapt to changing requirements. He noted that Amit Kalyani’s involvement had contributed to the company’s growth strategy and expressed confidence in its future under the new chairman. Dr Kalyani will continue to advise the Board following the transition.
