Ambuja Cement Subsidiary Penna Cement Commissions 2 MTPA Grinding Unit Expansion in Andhra Pradesh

Ambuja Cements Limited, part of the Adani Group and a leading cement manufacturer in India, announced that its subsidiary Penna Cement Industries Limited has successfully commissioned a 2 Million Tonnes Per Annum (MTPA) brownfield expansion of its cement grinding unit at Krishnapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. With the commissioning of this state-of-the-art facility, Ambuja Cement’s total consolidated cement capacity has increased to 106.45 MTPA, strengthening its position as one of the largest cement producers in the country.

The Krishnapatnam expansion will enable Ambuja to serve key markets in South India with enhanced speed and efficiency, meeting the growing demand for premium quality cement. Ambuja Cements continues to focus on expanding capacity through a mix of brownfield and greenfield projects, driving growth while maintaining its commitment to energy efficiency and environmental stewardship.

Penna Cement Industries is a major cement manufacturer in India, founded in 1991 and headquartered in Hyderabad, Telangana. The company operates multiple integrated plants and grinding units across Andhra Pradesh, Telangana and Maharashtra, giving it strong production capacity and reach in southern and western India.
