Aludecor, one of India’s leading manufacturers of façade products, has announced the launch of a voluntary, free-of-cost material testing initiative for the aluminium composite panel (ACP) industry. The programme, the largest of its kind in the B2B façade segment, reinforces the company’s commitment to promoting responsible material usage, transparency, and improved fire safety standards across applications.
The initiative aims to address growing concerns around product performance, traceability, and on-site accountability—issues that have gained urgency as ACP usage continues to expand across commercial, healthcare, hospitality, and residential buildings. By enabling open access to credible testing, Aludecor seeks to strengthen trust among fabricators, architects, builders, and end users.
The programme holds particular relevance for tier-2 cities in northern India, where ACP adoption is rising rapidly and project requirements are becoming increasingly complex. Aludecor believes transparent, third-party-aligned testing is essential to safeguarding stakeholder interests and ensuring safer built environments as the market evolves.
“Fabricators are often the first to face scrutiny when material failures occur, even though testing and traceability are beyond their control,” said Saurav Kabra, Director – Sales, Aludecor Lamination Pvt Ltd. “With repeated fire-related incidents, this has become an industry-wide challenge rather than a brand-specific issue. By opening our NABL-accredited in-house fire testing facilities to all ACP brands, free of cost and without brand identification, we are enabling informed material choices that protect reputations, reduce risk, and ultimately save lives.”
As part of the initiative, Aludecor has made its fully equipped R&D centre—housing the only NABL-accredited reaction-to-fire testing facility operated by an ACP manufacturer—accessible to the entire industry. Samples will be collected directly from site-supplied materials to ensure alignment between tested and installed products. All evaluations will be conducted anonymously, with no disclosure of brand, customer, or project details, ensuring complete neutrality and credibility.
This move builds on Aludecor’s robust quality framework, under which its ACP products undergo more than 205 mandatory performance and durability tests covering fire resistance, colour stability, structural integrity, and long-term reliability. By extending access to its testing infrastructure, the company is positioning material testing as a shared responsibility across the industry.
Over the past 12 years, Aludecor has conducted nationwide skill development and knowledge-sharing programmes benefiting over 300,000 fabricators. The new initiative marks the next phase of this engagement, inviting fabricators across Lucknow and the rest of India to participate in a voluntary, transparent testing movement focused on safety, credibility, and long-term industry growth.
Founded in 2002, Aludecor offers advanced façade solutions that combine engineering precision, safety, and design flexibility. With a portfolio spanning ACP sheets, honeycomb panels, and fire-retardant systems, the company continues to set benchmarks in quality, innovation, and sustainability for modern architectural applications.
