Allcargo Logistics Limited has reaffirmed its commitment to supporting the growth of the Varanasi handloom cluster, a key hub for traditional textile production known for its Banarasi silk sarees and handloom products. The company currently serves hundreds of customers within the cluster, including weavers, traders, manufacturers, and exporters. Through its domestic supply chain network, Allcargo provides end-to-end logistics solutions designed to help businesses expand their reach across India while ensuring safe and timely delivery of goods.

Its services include door-to-door pick-up and delivery, supported by value-added offerings such as cash-on-delivery (COD), which enables secure and timely payments while reducing credit risk for small businesses. These solutions play a critical role in improving working capital cycles for micro, small, and medium enterprises (MSMEs) operating in the cluster.

Allcargo connects Varanasi to an extensive nationwide distribution network covering thousands of pin codes and major markets including Delhi NCR, Mumbai, Bengaluru, Kolkata, Chennai, Hyderabad, Surat, and Ahmedabad. Under its cluster-based operating model, shipments are first consolidated and routed to a central transshipment hub in Lucknow. From there, consignments are distributed to regional hubs in key locations such as Mumbai, Bengaluru, and Guwahati before reaching final destinations. This hub-and-spoke system ensures efficient handling and seamless end-to-end delivery.

In addition to express distribution and multimodal transportation, the company offers advanced logistics capabilities such as real-time shipment tracking, insurance coverage for high-value goods, reverse logistics, and specialised handling for delicate textile consignments.

Ketan Kulkarni, Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer, said the company is proud to support a sector that represents both cultural heritage and entrepreneurial strength. He emphasised the importance of reliability, security, and timely delivery for high-value products such as handloom textiles.

By combining logistics expertise with technology-driven solutions, Allcargo continues to enable businesses in the Varanasi cluster to access wider markets with confidence. The initiative underscores the company’s commitment to empowering traditional industries through modern supply chain infrastructure. As demand for handloom products grows both domestically and internationally, Allcargo’s integrated logistics approach is expected to play a vital role in enhancing market access and driving sustainable growth for the cluster.

Following its restructuring, Allcargo merged its domestic supply chain business and separated its international operations under Allcargo Global. With services spanning express distribution, air freight, e-commerce logistics, and last-mile delivery, the company continues to invest in technology, infrastructure, and sustainability, with a target of achieving carbon neutrality by 2040.
