Adani Skills & Education has entered into two Memoranda of Understanding with the Government of Gujarat to strengthen technical education and industry-linked skilling across 11 Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) in Kutch. The initiative is aimed at creating employment-oriented training ecosystems aligned with the region’s rapidly expanding renewable energy, logistics and infrastructure sectors.
The agreements were formalised during the ‘Karma Utsav’ programme held at the GAIMS Auditorium in Bhuj, where more than 650 students, educators, policymakers and industry representatives gathered to discuss skill development and workforce readiness. The event highlighted the increasing importance of technical education in supporting regional industrial growth and creating sustainable employment opportunities for local youth.
Under the partnership, the participating ITIs will undergo curriculum enhancement, faculty training, infrastructure upgrades and industry-focused practical learning interventions. The programme will also include on-the-job training opportunities, placement support and exposure to real-world operating environments to better align technical education with evolving industry requirements.
Senior leaders from the Government of Gujarat, including Cabinet Minister for Labour, Skill Development & Employment and Rural Development Kunwarjibhai Bavaliya and Minister of State for Labour, Skill Development & Employment Kantilal Amrutiya, attended the event along with representatives from the Adani Group, educators and students from all 11 Government ITIs in Kutch.
As part of the programme, ASE distributed ‘Skill2Employ’ invitation letters to students preparing to transition into industry roles. Twenty-two students were honoured with Certificates of Excellence for academic and extracurricular performance, while 30 instructors received certification under ASE’s Train-the-Trainer initiative designed to strengthen teaching capabilities and industry relevance.
Speaking at the event, Shri Bavaliya said the state government remains focused on building a self-reliant workforce through globally benchmarked technical education. He noted that skilled youth would play a critical role in strengthening India’s industrial and economic growth. Shri Amrutiya encouraged students to fully utilise technical education opportunities and contribute meaningfully to national development through skilled employment and entrepreneurship.
Robin Bhowmik, Chief Executive Officer of ASE, said Kutch continues to remain central to the organisation’s long-term skilling vision. He stated that the partnership seeks to build a locally skilled and industry-ready workforce capable of supporting regional transformation across multiple sectors.
Through its Skill2Employ model, ASE combines classroom instruction with operational exposure using simulation-based learning, Centres of Excellence, globally aligned curricula and specialised trainer development programmes. The initiative is also expected to reduce talent migration by creating employment opportunities closer to home for youth in the region. ASE said its 10-point ITI transformation framework is increasingly being referenced as a “Gujarat Model” for skill development initiatives in other states across the country
