Dr Nicole Hoffmeister-Kraut, Minister of Economic Affairs for Baden-Württemberg, attended the ceremony, praising the award-winning projects as inspirational examples for the future of technology. Dr Marc Wucherer of Ziehl-Abegg showcased the potential of AI in enhancing communication strategies, an area where the company has pioneered significant advancements.

The first ever AI Communication Award, held in Kupferzell, marked a significant milestone in recognizing innovative applications of artificial intelligence in communications. Organized by Ziehl-Abegg, known for its proactive use of corporate communication on platforms like TikTok and e-sports, the event brought to light the practical benefits of AI in everyday communication. Dr Marc Wucherer, CEO of Ziehl-Abegg, emphasized the importance of embracing AI to set a precedent in the digital communication realm. The event highlighted how the company has become a trendsetter by addressing new technological themes early on.

The award featured various categories highlighting the versatility of AI. The Creative/Interactive Application category was won by an online Escape game designed for a Volksbank Bühl event, which incorporated AI to engage students in interactive storytelling and problem-solving. The Marketing/Communication Strategy category was dominated by Rational AG, which successfully utilized AI to enhance its Instagram strategy without increasing budgets, showing that AI can powerfully augment efficiency and creativity in digital marketing.

The AI Communication Award celebrated winners across several categories:

  • Creative/Interactive Application: An online Escape game developed for Volksbank Bühl that engaged students through AI-driven puzzles post an educational lecture on AI, enhancing their learning experience interactively.
  • Marketing/Communication Strategy: Rational AG showcased how AI could revolutionize B2B Instagram marketing by maintaining budget integrity while significantly boosting performance metrics.
  • AI Products/Platform Solutions: SMA Development GmbH’s PodMon demonstrated how AI could streamline the discovery of relevant podcast content, making it easier for users to find appealing topics without extensive searching.
  • Student Category: Mario Mirschberger was recognized for his insightful thesis on how AI can be integrated into brand communication strategies effectively.
