Magenta Power: First Portable Electric Charging Grid in India

Magenta Power with a motto of empowering clean energy solutions and ideas through its group companies and intermediaries’ has come up with India’s first portable electric vehicle charging grid “ChargeGrid series”. The portable grid is introduced with a different configuration to make it compatible with both old and new two-wheelers and four-wheelers. The ChargeGrid series is first fully homogenized, automated and payment-enabled open network of smart charging solutions which is available in the market with different types i.e., the ChargeGrid LITE being the affordable first type at `11,799. The ChargeGrid PRO has 2 variants PRO-3P costs `32,499, while the PRO-T2 costs `39,499. The top variant ChargeGrid Ultra is priced at`48,699. As per the company, ChargeGrid series can be installed in various locations like malls, township, offices, etc. making it easily accessible to EV customers.

During the launch of ChargeGrid Mr. Maxson Lewis, MD of Magenta Power told that the EV charging solutions are customized and shall act as the new infrastructure backbone of the growing EV ecosystem. The series will provide the EV customers easy access to energy-efficient options and is designed to balance individual, corporate and community uses. “Through the series, we are paving the way of the easy shift to EVs and solving the real roadblocks currently faced by EV customers” he added.

ChargeGrid Pro is the new generation concept which is connected with Mobile App and Command Centre. The relay of charging stations is connected to the network for real-time monitoring and information on the ChargeGrid app and are deployed with payment gateway options, which directly provides the ease of locating charging stations on an aerial map and also to book a charging slot with suggestions on the time and payment to the EV users. The Command Centre brings complete permeability to chargers, performance, and integration in various stages.

ChargeGrid is also waterproof and consists of multiple charging options including Type-2 connector for the latest models of EVs.  The standard option is IEC socket and the second socket can be a 16A domestic socket or a Type-2 connector. Further, the series is employed with Bluetooth connectivity to monitor the charging solutions more efficiently. The ChargingGrid series additionally has an LCD screen to follow utilization and to track consumption and LEDs to demonstrate charging status when being used. The chargers are perfect with the present EVs at a bargain, while the organization says that a little change will make them good with vehicles that are yet to be propelled.

Magenta Powers design, build, install and maintain all of the technology that powers this network, from charging station hardware to energy management software to the mobile app, ultimately making it easy to charge EVs anywhere. The company’s aim is to help India adopt e-mobility and transform transportation and energy use.

The company’s motto is to make the world a better place for the next generation to live. Their initiatives like rooftop solar power, developing technology solutions specific to India for the growing renewable energy sector or a first ChargeGrid series of India’s EV space, the company is evolving and developing ideas to match the current trend.

Indian challenges require Indian solutions and this fact helped Magenta Power to grow in the area of green energy, and the latest addition to it is ChargeGrid series. Magenta Power is already retailing the chargers with its distribution channel – Lynx, auto dealers, and online shopping portal Amazon.
