Hexaware Technologies has announced the return of the Hexaware Dream Runners Half Marathon (DRHM), Chennai’s largest half marathon, scheduled to take place on July 19, 2026. The company continues as the title sponsor for the seventh consecutive year, reaffirming its commitment to community wellbeing and fitness.
The event aims to make running accessible to individuals of all fitness levels, offering race categories of 21.1 km and 10 km. Participants will benefit from free, structured training programs conducted across 14 chapters in Chennai, enabling them to prepare within their local neighborhoods under expert guidance.
Beyond promoting fitness, the marathon continues to serve as a platform for social impact. Proceeds from this year’s event will support leading Chennai-based non-governmental organizations, including FREEDOM Trust, which provides prosthetic limbs; International Foundation for Crime Prevention and Victim Care (PCVC), which supports survivors of domestic violence; and Vijay Human Services, which assists individuals with intellectual disabilities. The previous edition of the marathon saw participation from nearly 7,000 runners and raised over ₹45 lakh for social welfare initiatives, reflecting strong community engagement and impact.
A spokesperson from Hexaware noted that the event has become an integral part of Chennai’s fitness culture, bringing together individuals who are committed to health, community, and meaningful causes. Organizers emphasized that increased participation directly contributes to greater social impact, encouraging more people to join the movement this year.
