Suzlon Group and Yanara have further strengthened their long-standing collaboration with the signing of two new wind power contracts of 153 MW each for Yanara’s firm and dispatchable renewable energy projects in Barmer, Rajasthan. With these new agreements, Suzlon will supply a total of 102 S144 wind turbine generators, each with a rated capacity of 3 MW, reinforcing its leadership position in Rajasthan’s wind energy market and supporting the state’s transition toward clean and reliable power.

These repeat orders from Yanara, placed within a single year, reflect continued confidence in Suzlon’s technology, execution capabilities, and project delivery track record. Suzlon currently holds a 44 percent market share in Rajasthan and has installed over 2.3 GW of wind energy capacity in the state. In addition to the Barmer projects, the company is executing several other large engineering, procurement, and construction projects in Rajasthan, with a combined capacity of 791 MW.

The wind power generated from the Barmer projects will contribute toward meeting Yanara’s power purchase obligations with various utilities, including NTPC and NHPC. The projects form part of Yanara’s broader strategy to develop large-scale hybrid renewable assets that integrate wind, solar, and energy storage technologies to deliver round-the-clock clean energy. This approach supports India’s national objective of achieving 500 GW of non-fossil fuel energy capacity by 2030.

Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman of Suzlon Group, stated that strong and trusted partnerships such as the one between Suzlon and Yanara play a vital role in accelerating India’s clean energy transition. He noted that Suzlon’s three decades of experience in the wind energy sector and Yanara’s focus on multi-technology renewable solutions create a powerful combination for delivering sustainable growth.

JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer of Suzlon Group, highlighted that Suzlon’s indigenously developed wind turbine technology is designed to perform reliably across diverse climatic conditions, including the high ambient temperatures of Rajasthan. Yanara’s leadership echoed this sentiment, emphasizing that Suzlon’s scale, technical expertise, and execution strength make it a valuable partner in delivering complex renewable energy projects. Together, the two companies continue to contribute meaningfully to India’s renewable energy ecosystem and long-term energy security.

Suzlon Group is a global leader in renewable energy solutions, with over 21 GW of wind energy capacity installed across 17 countries.
