Suzlon Group, India’s leading wind energy solutions provider, announced that it has bagged its largest order of FY26, a 838 MW project from Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited (TPREL), one of India’s top renewable energy companies. This marks Suzlon’s second-largest order in its history, following the 1,544 MW order from NTPC Green Energy, and underscores the rising importance of Firm and Dispatchable Renewable Energy (FDRE) projects in strengthening India’s clean energy transition.
The project will deploy 266 of Suzlon’s S144 wind turbines, each with a rated capacity of 3.15 MW, across Karnataka (302 MW), Maharashtra (271 MW), and Tamil Nadu (265 MW). As part of the FDRE bids awarded to SJVN and NTPC, the initiative demonstrates how wind-dominant systems can deliver round-the-clock, grid-stable renewable energy, contributing directly to India’s ambitious clean power goals.
Girish Tanti, Vice Chairman, Suzlon Group, said “As Tata Power Renewable Energy moves towards its goal of 100% clean energy by 2045, we are proud to support this transformative journey with our advanced ‘Made in India’ wind technology. This third repeat order highlights the strength of our decade-long partnership and our shared commitment to building scalable, reliable, and cost-efficient renewable energy solutions integrated with India’s One Grid system.”
JP Chalasani, Chief Executive Officer, Suzlon Group, added “TPREL sets benchmarks for technology, reliability, and execution, ensuring wind energy plays its rightful role in providing round-the-clock dispatchable clean power. Their continued trust in Suzlon reflects our ability to deliver proven, innovative solutions with execution excellence.”
