L&T Technology Services (LTTS) and Austria-based PALFINGER have unveiled a new Global Development Center (GDC) in Pune as part of a long-term collaboration aimed at accelerating product innovation and strengthening PALFINGER’s presence in India and the wider Asia-Pacific region. The center has been established under LTTS’ Mobility segment and will support PALFINGER’s localization initiatives, digital engineering programs, and next-generation technology roadmap.

The GDC will play a central role in advancing PALFINGER’s product development by integrating LTTS’ engineering expertise with AI-driven design, automation, and simulation tools. LTTS will provide comprehensive support across embedded software, PLM migration, CAE-based virtual validation, and Digital Mock-up, enabling PALFINGER to enhance its portfolio, streamline sourcing strategies, and boost development speed. With AI embedded across engineering workflows, the partnership aims to reduce time-to-market, enhance efficiency, and deliver greater value to customers globally.

Leaders from both companies were present at the Pune launch ceremony. Alexander Susanek, COO of PALFINGER, said the partnership significantly expands the company’s engineering capacity in India—an important region in its Strategy 2030+. He emphasized that the investment reinforces PALFINGER’s commitment to global integration while empowering local development teams.

Alind Saxena, Executive Director and President – Mobility and Tech at LTTS, highlighted that PALFINGER’s bold growth vision aligns strongly with LTTS’ capabilities in AI-led digital engineering. He noted that the newly inaugurated GDC will serve as a key innovation hub, bringing together advanced simulation, digital engineering, and embedded technologies to help PALFINGER build competitive, future-ready products.
