Hauser Weinimport and Sidel are celebrating a 15-year milestone since the installation of Germany’s first Combi Predis line for aseptic PET bottling. The line, featuring Sidel’s patented dry preform sterilisation system, has successfully produced over 600 million bottles to date—delivering consistent quality and operational efficiency for more than a decade.
Based in Bavaria and founded in the 1950s, Hauser Weinimport began by producing vermouths and liqueurs. Today, the company focuses on non-alcoholic beverages, such as flavoured teas and soft drinks under well-known labels like Pacific Wave, Bio Eistee, and Eistee Premium. Recognised as a trusted co-packer in the beverage industry, Hauser is known for combining tradition with forward-thinking production methods. “We share a common commitment to innovation with Sidel,” said Ms. Mayer, CEO of Hauser Weinimport.
Installed at the company’s Fischbach facility, the Combi Predis line offers full flexibility for various drink types and packaging formats. It operates at speeds of up to 18,000 bottles per hour for 0.5L bottles and can also handle 1L and 1.5L sizes. “Thanks to consistent neck finish designs across products, our operators can perform quick changeovers, reducing downtime,” noted Florian Kotnig, Head of Production.
Hauser was the first in Germany to adopt Sidel’s Predis™ dry preform sterilisation technology, which uses a hydrogen peroxide mist for sterilisation before the preforms are blown into bottles—eliminating the need for water rinsing. This system offers strong food safety, low resource use, and minimal environmental impact. Sidel has supported the operation with regular technical upgrades, maintenance planning, and around-the-clock service. “We chose this solution to ensure premium product quality and long-term performance. Our close partnership with Sidel has helped us maintain high productivity with minimal disruption,” added Mr Kotnig.
