Arrow Electronics has opened a state-of-the-art Engineering Solutions Center (ESC) in Bangalore, India, marking a significant step in strengthening the region’s role in global technology innovation. The new facility is part of Arrow’s broader strategy to empower tech manufacturers across India, Southeast Asia, South Korea, and Japan by expanding access to critical technologies like intelligent sensing, edge computing, automation, and AIoT. With India and its neighboring countries becoming strategic centers for electronics manufacturing—fueled by favorable policies and global supply chain shifts—the ESC is designed to help local firms build advanced, market-ready products more efficiently and affordably.

“Our customers often face barriers in leveraging the latest electronic and software technologies due to gaps in engineering capabilities,” said Dr Raphael Salmi, President of Arrow’s Components Business in South Asia, Korea, and Japan. “Arrow bridges that gap with deep expertise, local support, and a global ecosystem—helping bring innovative ideas to life.”

The new ESC provides hands-on support throughout the entire product development lifecycle. It is staffed by a team of expert application engineers skilled in embedded systems, wireless communication, power electronics, and IP&E (Interconnect, Passive & Electromechanical) technologies. The Engineering Solutions Center (ESC) offers a suite of specialized services aimed at supporting every phase of electronic product development.

One of its key offerings is Component Engineering, where experts assist in selecting the most suitable components—including microcontrollers (MCUs/MPUs), FPGAs, SoCs, wireless connectivity modules, and power devices—ensuring optimal performance and cost-efficiency. This guidance helps developers make informed choices early in the design process, reducing technical risks and avoiding costly revisions later.

Additionally, the ESC provides System Engineering support, delivering in-depth reviews of system designs, validating block diagrams, and refining the bill of materials (BOM) for efficiency and performance. Complementing this, the center also offers Reference Designs—pre-engineered, system-level solutions that enable companies to shorten development cycles, boost design accuracy, and speed up time-to-market.

These services work together to streamline innovation and enhance product reliability for technology manufacturers. Arrow’s new center also delivers localized technical training, access to component samples, ready-made software modules, and industry-grade supply chain support—all aimed at helping companies move quickly from concept to product launch.

Arrow Electronics is a global leader in technology enablement, supporting over 220,000 leading manufacturers and service providers. In 2024, the company reported revenues of $28 billion, underscoring its scale and influence in powering innovation across major industries.
