Waaree Energies Ltd announced on Thursday that its US subsidiary, Waaree Solar Americas, has secured a significant contract to supply 540 megawatts (MW) of solar modules to a leading American developer specializing in utility-scale solar and energy storage projects. The contract, finalized on June 27, will see the delivery of solar modules in two phases: 270 MW in 2025 and the remaining 270 MW between 2027 and 2028. This agreement is part of a unique international supply arrangement.
This latest deal is part of a growing number of international contracts won by Waaree. In recent weeks, the company has also finalized large-scale orders in the U.S., including deals for 586 MW and 599 MW of solar modules. Additionally, Waaree plans to expand its manufacturing capacity at its facility in Brookshire, Texas, aiming for 3.2 GW by the end of 2025. Last week, the company reaffirmed its adherence to U.S. trade regulations, including compliance with Foreign Entity of Concern (FEOC) rules, and reported a robust order book of 25 GW through 2027.
