GameChange Solar, a prominent supplier of solar tracking and fixed-tilt racking systems, has announced a contract with ACME Greentech Ventures FZCO to provide its Genius Tracker™ 1P Single Row system for a major 450 MWp solar project in Duqm, located in the Sultanate of Oman. This project will power one of the world’s largest facilities for green hydrogen and ammonia production, marking a significant milestone in Oman’s shift towards clean energy.

The project is set in Duqm, situated on Oman’s southeastern coast, a region known for its extreme temperatures, high winds, rugged terrain, and corrosive conditions. GameChange Solar’s Genius Tracker™ is specifically designed to perform under these challenging circumstances, ensuring durability, quick installation, and maximum energy output.

“We are excited to assist ACME with this groundbreaking project, placing Oman at the forefront of green ammonia development,” said Vikas Bansal, President – International at GameChange Solar. “The Genius Tracker™ is engineered for tough conditions, ensuring high energy yields and reliability. This agreement also strengthens our presence in the Middle East, a region increasingly recognized as a hub for clean energy innovation.”

The Green Ammonia Project, developed in multiple phases by ACME, is aligned with Oman’s national hydrogen strategy. Covering 92 square kilometers, the project will be carried out in phases. Phase 1, currently under construction, will produce 100,000 tonnes of green ammonia annually, while the later phases are expected to generate 71,000 tonnes of green hydrogen and 400,000 tonnes of green ammonia per year. The fully completed facility will have a production capacity of 0.9 million tonnes of green ammonia annually.

“We’re excited to partner with GameChange Solar for this pivotal project. Their 1P single-row tracker technology is built for reliability in extreme weather and high-wind environments, and we are confident in their ability to deliver quickly and consistently. As we work toward building one of the world’s largest green ammonia production platforms, trusted partners like GameChange Solar play a key role in realizing our vision,” said Vipin Aggarwal, Vice President – Procurement, Green Hydrogen and International Business at ACME Group.
