Kinetic Engineering Appoints Vinayak Shevade as CFO to Drive ₹177 Crore Expansion Plan

Kinetic Engineering Limited (KEL) has appointed Vinayak Shevade as its Chief Financial Officer (CFO), effective February 17, 2025. With over 30 years of financial management experience, Shevade will oversee the company’s financial operations and strategic growth initiatives.

His appointment aligns with KEL’s ₹177 crore investment plan, aimed at boosting working capital, expanding manufacturing capacity, and developing electric vehicle (EV) components. The company is targeting ₹1,000 crore in revenue by 2029.

“I am honored to join KEL at this pivotal time,” said Shevade. “My focus will be on strengthening the company’s financial position by improving turnover, EBITDA, and net profit over the next two years.” Before joining KEL, Shevade held senior financial roles at Kinetic Honda Motor Limited and Mahindra Two Wheelers Limited.

Ajinkya Firodia, Vice Chairman and Managing Director of KEL, expressed confidence in Shevade’s expertise, stating that his leadership will play a crucial role in achieving the company’s long-term strategic objectives.A Chartered Accountant and Commerce graduate from Mumbai University, Shevade specializes in financial planning, risk management, and regulatory compliance.

Having evolved from two-wheeler manufacturing to automotive component supply, the company is now actively expanding its EV component portfolio to meet the growing demand for electrification in the automobile sector.

Over the years, Kinetic Engineering diversified its portfolio to include the design and manufacture of a wide range of automotive components, including engines, transmission systems, and other key mechanical parts for two-wheelers and commercial vehicles.
