Rajesh Power Services Limited (BSE: 544291) has secured turnkey contracts worth ₹471.92 crore, inclusive of taxes, from Madhya Gujarat Vij Company Limited (MGVCL) to strengthen electricity distribution infrastructure at various locations across Gujarat. The contracts have been awarded under MGVCL’s SI Scheme Robust-III and carry an execution period of 18 months. The work involves converting existing 11 kV high-tension overhead lines into medium-voltage covered conductor networks and underground cable systems.

The new orders represent a significant addition to the company’s project pipeline and take its aggregate order book close to ₹4,000 crore, according to the company. Rajesh Power Services said the contracts would provide visibility for project execution over the next 18 months.

The work forms part of ongoing efforts to modernise electricity distribution infrastructure. Covered conductors and underground cables can help address distribution network requirements in different operating conditions and support improvements in network reliability.

Rajesh Power Services plans to use its technical expertise, project management capabilities and operational resources to complete the work in accordance with the contractual requirements. The company said it would focus on execution, quality, safety and operational efficiency while managing the enlarged project portfolio.

Kurang Panchal, Chairman and Managing Director of Rajesh Power Services Limited, said the contracts marked an important milestone for the company. He said the larger order book strengthened business visibility and provided a broader base of secured projects, adding that the company would maintain its focus on disciplined execution and safety. The company said its future performance would depend on the execution of the contracts, achievement of contractual milestones, project costs and working capital requirements.
