Kilburn Engineering Limited has approved a capital investment of up to ₹25 crore to expand the precision engineering and manufacturing capabilities of its subsidiary, Monga Strayfield Private Limited, at its Pune facility. The investment will enhance the company’s capacity to manufacture enclosures, cabinets and assemblies for data centre infrastructure, transformers and critical power applications. The expansion will be implemented in phases over the next six to nine months. Commissioning and utilisation will be aligned with operational readiness and customer requirements.

Kilburn Engineering’s precision engineering business is expected to generate revenue of approximately ₹50–60 crore in FY2026–27. With the proposed expansion, the business is estimated to have the potential to support annual revenue of approximately ₹150 crore at scale. This estimate is based on the envisaged product mix, expected utilisation levels and a combination of in-house manufacturing and selective outsourcing. The actual pace of revenue growth will depend on customer demand and the progressive ramp-up of operations.

Monga Strayfield has a long-standing business relationship with Vertiv Energy Private Limited, part of Vertiv, a global provider of critical digital infrastructure. The relationship predates Kilburn Engineering’s acquisition of Monga Strayfield. The proposed investment is expected to strengthen the subsidiary’s ability to meet the growing requirements of Vertiv and its other customers in India, while enabling it to pursue opportunities in international markets.

Commenting on the investment, Amritanshu Khaitan, Chairman, Kilburn Engineering Limited, said, “Our investment in Monga Strayfield reflects our confidence in the opportunities emerging across data centre infrastructure, critical power systems and the transformer industry. Monga Strayfield’s long-standing relationship with Vertiv and its other established customers provides a strong foundation for this expansion, which positions the business to serve growing requirements in India and to pursue opportunities in international markets.” He added that the investment represents an important step towards building a larger precision engineering platform for the Kilburn Group.

Kilburn Engineering Limited is a diversified engineering group with capabilities in industrial drying, heating, thermal processing, waste heat recovery and precision-engineered manufacturing solutions. Through its subsidiaries, including Monga Strayfield and ME Energy, the Group serves customers across process engineering, energy efficiency, power infrastructure and industrial manufacturing sectors.
