Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology Co, Ltd has supplied tower crane solutions for major infrastructure and high-rise construction projects, including China’s Lugu Lake Grand Bridge and the Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye’s tower in Istanbul. At the Lugu Lake Grand Bridge in southwestern China, two Zoomlion R4300-200 tower cranes supported construction of the 283-metre main tower on the Shangri-La side. The bridge, located on the Xichang–Shangri-La Expressway, required the precise lifting and positioning of large structural components in a mountain canyon.

The tower reached its topping-out milestone on September 29. During the final 103 metres of construction, crews positioned the remaining steel and concrete sections above the central crossbeam, where changing wind conditions required careful load control and stability.

The R4300-200 has a maximum lifting capacity of 200 metric tonnes and an 80-metre jib. Its control and safety systems include collision prevention, automatic operating-speed adjustment according to load and functions designed to prevent suspended loads from slipping downward.

Camera feeds allow operators to monitor lifting operations and control cranes remotely from ground level. This supports accurate component positioning and alignment during installation. Zoomlion said the segment-lifting work on the Shangri-La-side tower was completed safely.

In Istanbul, the company supplied a customised L760-50 luffing jib tower crane for the 380-metre Central Bank of the Republic of Türkiye tower at the Istanbul International Financial Center. The project combined steel framing and precast concrete and involved 1,260 heavy lifts, including steel columns weighing up to 48.2 tonnes.

The crane has a maximum lifting capacity of 50 tonnes and a jib length of up to 60 metres. Modular mast sections measuring 2.3 metres on each side helped address space restrictions and allowed transport in standard shipping containers. Ten customised connections per crane were engineered to meet local seismic requirements.

Variable-frequency drives support controlled lifting, rotation and jib movement, while wind monitoring systems provide warnings and limit operating speeds when preset thresholds are exceeded. Remote monitoring transmits 28 operating parameters, including loads, component temperatures, operating hours and fault codes, helping maintenance teams assess equipment condition. Zoomlion’s engineers in China worked remotely with teams in Türkiye to diagnose issues and support maintenance. Equipment selection and technical coordination helped sustain a construction pace of one floor every five days for the main structure.

The company has also supplied equipment for projects including the 377-metre Ciel Dubai Marina hotel, Dubai’s 400-metre Al Habtoor Tower and Indonesia’s 331-metre Oasis Central Towers. Zoomlion said it would continue developing customised lifting equipment and technical support for complex construction projects. Zoomlion Heavy Industry Science & Technology manufactures construction machinery and equipment for infrastructure, building and industrial applications.
