Kirloskar Pneumatic Company Limited (KPCL), a manufacturer of air, refrigeration and gas compression systems, reported revenue from operations of ₹620 crore for the first half of FY27. Profit before tax (PBT) stood at ₹85 crore, compared with ₹94 crore in the corresponding period of the previous financial year. The company’s PBT margin for H1 FY27 was 13.4%, against 14.1% in H1 FY26. For the second quarter of FY27, KPCL reported revenue from operations of ₹320 crore and PBT of ₹40 crore. Net profit after tax for the quarter was also reported at ₹40 crore.
Commenting on the results, Managing Director Aman Kirloskar said the first-half performance reflected the effects of an increasingly volatile global business environment. Geopolitical tensions and shipping disruptions affected the timing of export clearances and dispatches, resulting in delays in certain consignments and deferred order finalisations. He said these external factors had affected near-term revenue and profitability, while the company’s core operational foundation remained resilient.
KPCL’s order book stood at ₹2,040 crore as of October 1, 2026, representing a 10% increase from ₹1,863 crore at the beginning of the financial year. The compression business accounted for approximately 94% of the company’s revenue in H1 FY27 and remained its only reporting segment.
During the quarter, KPCL and Kobe Steel Limited (KOBELCO), Japan, entered into a memorandum of understanding to explore business opportunities in the oil and gas sector. The proposed collaboration is intended to strengthen both companies’ business presence in India, expand opportunities in oil and gas, and explore areas related to carbon neutrality. The companies also aim to draw on their engineering and technology capabilities to develop solutions for the sector.
Established in 1958, KPCL manufactures air, refrigeration and gas compressors and systems, vapour absorption chillers and industrial gearboxes. Its products serve industries including steel, cement, cold chains, food and beverages, pharmaceuticals, railways, defence, marine and oil and gas. The company is also active in India’s compressed natural gas business.
KPCL operates three manufacturing facilities in Maharashtra and has a dealer network of more than 150. Its international presence includes a representative office in Dubai and a subsidiary in Thailand. The company also has a wholly owned subsidiary near Badlapur, Mumbai.
