FourKites, an AI-powered supply chain technology company, has introduced Outcome-as-a-Service for Supply Chain, a business model focused on delivering measurable operational results for customers. The company has also announced a new mission to use AI agents to complete one billion hours of operational work for customers over the next decade.
The new model is designed to help businesses move beyond adopting software tools towards achieving specific business objectives. These include improving on-time-in-full delivery performance, reducing expedited freight expenditure and lowering the cost of serving customers.
FourKites said large enterprises typically use 10 to 15 separate supply chain tools, with individual systems often addressing specific functions. Connecting these tools to broader business targets remains a challenge for many organisations. Under the Outcome-as-a-Service model, each engagement begins with a defined business target. FourKites then identifies the data, workflows and AI agents required to help achieve that result. The approach is intended to shift the focus from software adoption to the completion of operational tasks and improvements in business performance.
Mathew Elenjickal, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of FourKites, said the company’s real-time visibility technology helped customers identify supply chain problems, while its new model aims to resolve them. He said supply chain leaders were accountable for delivery performance and costs rather than the adoption of particular technologies.
The model relies on FourKites’ network graph, which connects more than 1,600 brands, 500,000 carriers and 3.6 million facilities across 176 countries. The network provides information about external operating conditions, including carrier performance, port activity and receiving facility conditions, which can influence supply chain outcomes.
FourKites said its AI agents use this information to make decisions and take action on behalf of customers. The agents also use results from previous actions to improve their performance over time. According to Elenjickal, real-world network data and operational context are important factors in making AI-driven decisions more reliable.
The company has also reworked its internal operations to support AI-led execution. Over the past year, it has redesigned its functions to operate with AI integrated into workflows. Its engineering team has automated the software development lifecycle, moving from fortnightly releases to daily continuous releases.
FourKites has launched a new website, fourkites.ai, featuring more than 70 defined business outcomes and the AI agents associated with them. Visitors can explore outcomes by industry or business area. The website also features Owen, an agentic Outcome Advisor designed to help users identify their operational challenges and relevant solutions.
FourKites develops supply chain technology that combines real-time visibility, AI and automated workflows. Its Intelligent Control Tower creates a real-time view of orders, shipments, inventory and assets, helping businesses identify disruptions, improve decisions and automate routine work. The company processes more than 3.2 million supply chain events daily.
