Pace Digitek Limited’s material subsidiary, Lineage Power Private Limited (LPPL), has secured a Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) order worth ₹488.46 crore, including GST, from NTPC GE Power Services Private Limited (NGSL). The order is for the BESS project at Barh Super Thermal Power Project (STPP), covering NTPC Stages I and II. LPPL will supply, test and supervise the erection and commissioning of BESS containers along with Battery Management Systems (BMS) and Energy Management Systems (EMS).
The contract also includes five years of Annual Maintenance Services (AMC) and a further seven-year extended warranty for the battery containers. The project is scheduled for completion by December 31, 2026. The order expands Pace Digitek’s participation across the BESS value chain and supports the development of LPPL as a product-led energy storage business. Its activities cover manufacturing, product supply, system integration, commissioning and lifecycle support.
Pace Digitek operationalised 2.5 GWh of BESS manufacturing capacity in 2025 and has since expanded capacity to 5 GWh. The company plans to increase capacity to 10 GWh by the third quarter of FY2027. It has delivered BESS containers representing more than 1.5 GWh of capacity to date.
The company is also working to increase localisation and strengthen its integration and service capabilities. The expanded capabilities are intended to support utility-scale energy storage requirements as well as emerging commercial and industrial (C&I) applications. Pace Digitek is evaluating opportunities in the C&I segment, including requirements from commercial and industrial customers and other power-intensive users. The company expects this segment to complement its existing utility-scale BESS business.
