Clean energy solutions provider U-Solar expects its turnover to exceed ₹1,000 crore in the current financial year, more than doubling from approximately ₹425 crore in the previous year. The company has delivered over 300 MW of renewable energy assets and has another 200 MW under execution.

U-Solar outlined its business growth and expansion plans during its participation in IITMAA Sangam 2026 in Bengaluru. The event brought together representatives from government, industry and academia to discuss India’s clean energy transition and the role of technology in strengthening the country’s power infrastructure.

Pralhad Joshi, Minister of Education, Government of India, addressed the gathering and highlighted the importance of advanced technology, innovation and domestic manufacturing in building a reliable power infrastructure and supporting India’s long-term self-reliance.

U-Solar is expanding beyond its traditional engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) business to become an integrated renewable energy management partner. Its services include rooftop solar, building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV), floating solar and off-grid hybrid power systems.

Speaking during a panel discussion titled “The Solar RE-volution: Powering India’s Sustainable Growth”, KR Harinarayan, Founder and CEO of U-Solar Clean Energy, said the company was focusing on technology-driven clean energy solutions tailored to customers’ energy consumption requirements.

He said U-Solar was developing applications such as BIPV for data centres, large-scale floating solar and hybrid power systems for off-grid islands. The company uses in-house artificial intelligence tools and battery storage technologies to support decarbonisation across domestic and international markets.

U-Solar has a team of more than 100 engineers and project delivery professionals. Its projects include BIPV installations at commercial facilities and data centres in Chennai and Mumbai, as well as floating solar installations for Damodar Valley Corporation at Maithon Dam and at the Bhilai Steel Plant. The company has also completed a government-supported hybrid power project covering three islands north of Jaffna in Sri Lanka, demonstrating its ability to execute renewable energy projects in international markets.

U-Solar is consolidating its presence in Sri Lanka and Nepal while exploring opportunities in the Middle East. The company plans to expand its international operations by offering technology-based decarbonisation solutions to industrial and commercial customers. With 200 MW of renewable energy assets currently under execution, U-Solar expects its project pipeline and growing operational capacity to support further business expansion in the current financial year.
