Danfoss Power Solutions has appointed Anup Deshmukh as Managing Director of its India business, effective immediately. Based in Pune, Mr Deshmukh will lead the company’s Power Solutions operations in India and report to Henrik V Jørgensen, President, Controls division.
In his new role, Mr Deshmukh will be responsible for driving business growth and implementing Danfoss Power Solutions’ strategy in India. He will work with customers, partners and other stakeholders while developing plans to attract, develop and retain talent across the organisation. Mr Deshmukh will lead the Danfoss Power Solutions India Leadership Team and represent the Power Solutions segment on the Danfoss India country governance board.
“India is one of the most important growth markets for Danfoss Power Solutions, and I am honored to lead the team here at this stage of our journey,” Deshmukh said. “My focus will be on strengthening our customer partnerships, building local capabilities, and positioning our India business for long-term, sustainable growth.”

Mr Deshmukh brings nearly 28 years of experience across sales, business development, general management, manufacturing operations and strategic growth. He joins Danfoss from Parker Hannifin, where he held senior leadership positions across India, China and Southeast Asia. Most recently, he served as Country Sales Director in India for Parker Hannifin’s Filtration, Engineering Material, Instrumentation, Fluid Control and Motion Control businesses. Earlier, he was Sales Manager at General Electric in India.
In addition to his industry experience, Mr Deshmukh has academic qualifications in engineering, marketing and business management. He holds a degree in chemical engineering from Shivaji University and diplomas in marketing and business management from NMIMS and ICFAI.
As Managing Director, Mr Deshmukh will focus on strengthening Danfoss Power Solutions’ presence in India while supporting the company’s growth plans and customer relationships. His responsibilities will include business development, operational execution, talent development and engagement with customers and partners.
The appointment comes as Danfoss Power Solutions continues to strengthen its operations in India, which the company identifies as an important market for future growth. Mr Deshmukh’s experience across commercial and operational functions is expected to support the company’s plans for expanding local capabilities and building its business in the country. With his experience across India and the broader Asia-Pacific region, Mr Deshmukh will oversee the company’s India operations and work with the local leadership team to implement its strategic priorities.
