RUCKUS Networks, a Belden brand, has expanded its operations in India by starting local manufacturing of ICX Ethernet switches at Belden’s established manufacturing facility in Pune. The move will support the company’s efforts to serve customers and partners in India and expand its manufacturing and operational capabilities in the country.
The Pune facility adds manufacturing to RUCKUS Networks’ existing presence in India across research and development, engineering, customer support and innovation. The company said the local production of ICX Ethernet switching products will strengthen its ability to respond to customer requirements and support projects that require local manufacturing and in-country support.
India is an important market for RUCKUS Networks, with the company having built capabilities across several locations. Bengaluru is its largest global site for research and development and customer success. Belden’s Customer Innovation Center in India provides a platform for customers, partners and technical teams to work together on solutions and validate technologies.
In Chennai, RUCKUS Networks operates a Research & Design Centre in collaboration with the Indian Institute of Technology Madras Research Park (IITMRP). The centre supports software development, engineering and networking research. The addition of Pune gives the company a manufacturing base in India alongside its existing technology and customer support operations.
