LG Electronics India Limited has launched a new range of semi-automatic washing machines featuring updated washing technologies, durable construction and new design options. The range comprises 15 models with capacities from 8 kg to 12 kg. The new models include features such as Dual Spin Shower, Roller Jet Pulsator+, Ultra Scrub Wall, Wind Jet Dry+ and a New Smart Filter. Exports of the AX Semi-Automatic Washing Machines are scheduled to begin in 2027, with the company targeting more than 10 international markets.

“The new Semi-Automatic Washing Machine range is designed for consumers who expect more from everyday laundry. It combines LG’s trusted technology, durable engineering, premium design and smart features that solve real household challenges,” said Young Min Hwang, Home Appliances Solution Sales Division Leader, LG Electronics India Limited.

The Dual Spin Shower system uses two water inlets to improve rinsing and remove residual detergent from clothes. The Roller Jet Pulsator+, based on a whale-tail-inspired design, creates water movement to improve fabric circulation and assist in removing dirt. The Ultra Scrub Wall uses a textured scrub pattern to address dirt on areas such as cuffs, collars and other heavily soiled sections of clothing. The New Smart Filter is designed to capture lint during the wash cycle and can be removed for cleaning.

The range also features Wind Jet Dry+, which uses airflow during the spin cycle to reduce excess moisture and help clothes dry faster. The washing machines offer 3+1 wash programmes, providing options for different laundry requirements, along with Rat Away Technology for added protection.

The new models feature a box-type body, durable knobs and colour options including Onyx Black, Middle Black and Burgundy. Select models are equipped with a toughened glass lid with a soft-closing mechanism. The feature is designed to improve durability and reduce noise during operation.

LG said the new washing machines are manufactured at its Greater Noida facility in Uttar Pradesh. The plant uses automation, robotics, automated guided vehicles and AI-enabled systems as part of its smart manufacturing operations. The facility also uses AI-based vision inspection and 100 per cent quality checks. Product testing is carried out in NABL-accredited laboratories as part of the company’s quality-control processes.

LG Electronics India Limited was established in January 1997 and operates across consumer electronics and B2B businesses, including home appliances, media entertainment, HVAC and commercial displays. The company operates manufacturing facilities at Greater Noida, Uttar Pradesh, and Ranjangaon, Pune, Maharashtra.
