Raymond has appointed Salil Bawa as Group Head, Investor Relations, to lead investor engagement and capital-markets strategy across the Raymond Group’s listed entities. Bawa will be on the rolls of Raymond Realty Limited. Mr Bawa is a Chartered Financial Analyst with more than 25 years of experience in corporate development and investor relations. He joins Raymond from the LNJ Bhilwara Group, where he led group corporate development and investor relations.

During his career, Mr Bawa has worked as a principal interface between company management, global institutional investors and the analyst community. His experience includes investor engagement during demergers, initial public offerings, qualified institutional placements and strategic capital raises.

He has also built and managed investor relations functions at several listed Indian business groups, including the Welspun Group. At Welspun, he worked on investor targeting and engagement programmes covering institutional investors across the US, Europe and Asia.

Commenting on the appointment, Rakesh Tiwary, Group CFO, Raymond Group, said, “Salil joins us at a defining moment. Raymond today operates as three focused, listed value-creation platforms, and telling that story with clarity and conviction to global investors is central to unlocking the value we are building.” “Salil’s track record and his standing with the world’s leading institutions make him the right leader to take our investor engagement to the next level,” Mr Tiwary added.

Mr Bawa brings relationships with sovereign wealth funds, pension funds and long-only institutional investors. His experience also includes expanding analyst coverage and developing institutional investor engagement programmes. At the Welspun Group, he is credited with increasing institutional ownership threefold over approximately 18 months through targeted investor engagement and international roadshows across the US, Europe and Asia.

Mr Bawa has also received recognition as a Best Investor Relations Officer based on a global fund-manager poll. In his new role, Bawa will work with the management teams of Raymond’s listed businesses and engage with institutional investors, analysts and other participants in the capital markets. His responsibilities will include strengthening investor communication and supporting the group’s capital-markets strategy.

Raymond operates through three listed entities — Raymond Limited, Raymond Lifestyle Limited and Raymond Realty Limited — along with subsidiaries and joint ventures. The group has businesses across lifestyle, real estate, engineering, auto components, aerospace and defence. Its operations have evolved through a series of business transformations, including the creation of focused listed platforms.

Raymond has a history spanning more than a century and has developed businesses across consumer and industrial segments. The group continues to operate through its three listed entities as it develops its portfolio across lifestyle, real estate and engineering-led businesses.
