Raymond Limited, the flagship company of the Raymond Group, has announced that its aerospace subsidiary has secured significant new business from a leading Indian aerospace and defence major during the quarter. The new orders cover more than 300 part numbers across multiple aircraft programmes and include precision-machined components, aerospace castings, structural parts and complex assemblies. The programmes involve annual volumes of more than 37,000 components and are expected to generate annual business potential of approximately ₹33 crore at projected production rates.

Production is scheduled to commence progressively across 2026 and 2027. The new business expands Raymond’s participation across a wider section of the aerospace manufacturing value chain, covering precision machining, castings, structural components and complex assemblies.

Commenting on the development, Rakesh Tiwary, Group Chief Financial Officer, Raymond Limited, said, “This order win sits squarely within the product mix optimisation we have identified as a core margin lever. The award win reaffirms the strong manufacturing process of Raymond Ltd. that spans across machining, castings, structures and assemblies, rather than at a single stage of the value chain, raises our capture rate per programme and improves the quality of the multi-year backlog we are building against.”

He added that the orders also expand the company’s presence in India’s growing domestic aerospace ecosystem. Raymond’s aerospace business has traditionally been largely export-oriented, and the latest awards broaden its customer base in the domestic market. “These new orders further strengthen the Company’s multi-year aerospace order pipeline and reinforce its strategy of building a scaled, high-precision aerospace and defence manufacturing platform in India,” Mr Tiwary said.

Raymond Limited has been expanding its engineering operations into technology-intensive sectors. Following the acquisition of Maini Precision Products Limited in 2023, the company’s engineering business entered the aerospace and defence and electric vehicle components segments, serving both international and domestic customers.

After the demerger of its Lifestyle Business and Real Estate verticals into independent listed entities, Raymond Limited now operates two core businesses within its engineering portfolio: Precision Technology & Auto Components and Aerospace & Defence. The company serves customers across more than 60 countries in Asia-Pacific, Africa, Latin America, Europe and North America. Exports contribute more than 50% of its overall business.

Raymond’s engineering business also has an established position in the manufacturing of files and hand tools and continues to serve domestic and international markets. The latest aerospace orders are expected to support the company’s efforts to increase its presence in high-precision manufacturing and build a stronger long-term order pipeline across aerospace and defence programmes. With production scheduled to begin in phases over the next two years, Raymond’s aerospace subsidiary is expected to deepen its participation in India’s expanding aerospace manufacturing ecosystem while strengthening its capabilities across multiple stages of component production and assembly.
